How much time do you need to be able to give?
A minimum of 8 hours per month – half day or full day shifts are available.
Why we want you
Do you have a couple of hours to spare to help exercise our energetic pooches? Maybe you would like a dog but your lifestyle doesn’t suit dog ownership at the moment?
Our dog walkers play an important role in helping the dogs in our care receive the exercise and socialisation skills they need to successfully settle in their forever home.
What you will be doing
- Taking designated dogs for a lead walk as directed by a member of staff
- Taking designated dogs to play in exercise area as directed by a member of staff
- Helping to provide enrichment activities for dogs in our care
- Following the dog walking guidelines provided by the centre
The skills you need
- Experience of dog walking
- Reliable
- Ability to follow instructions
- Some dogs require further training and are strong so good physical health is required
