We need you to help our dedicated Animal Care Assistants in providing a caring and safe environment for the cats in our centre. You will be involved ensuring that the animals’ accommodation is always clean and hygienic, and assist with grooming, exercising and providing enrichment activities for specified animals.

What you will be doing
- Help us to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in our
cattery/cat accommodation. - Assist with brushing, bathing, exercising and providing enrichment activities for the cats in our care, as directed by our staff.
- Socialisation of kittens and cats, as direct by our staff.
- Undertake all associated manual data recording.
- Assist with any other general cleaning and maintenance duties
What skills do you need
- Compassionate, patient and caring, with a strong interest in animal welfare
- Previous experience with dogs of different breeds and sizes would be preferable
- You must be a good listener and able to follow instructions well
- You should be flexible in your approach, as there will be times when contact with the dogs is minimal
- Ability to bend and lift as required in caring for the dogs

Further information related to this role
It will not always be possible for you to have hands-on experience with the
animals in the course of your volunteering duties. Your contact with the animals
will depend upon the animals in our care at any given time, their individual
needs and with your own safety in mind.
