    That’s how important your gift is and how your legacy really does live on when you leave a gift in your Will to the Scottish SPCA.

    Free Will Writing Service

    You can take advantage of a free Will writing service through our partnership with the National Free Wills Network. This service is available to anyone aged 18 or over who wishes to make a simple Will.

    Free Will writing for simple Wills

    A simple Will is one that does not involve complex circumstances. A participating solicitor will be able to advise whether this option is suitable for you.

    Please get in touch with our Legacy manager, Sophie Ingram, by email to receive a Free Wills pack which has a list of solicitors who are signed up to the scheme. The pack can be sent via post or email for your convenience.

    Please note: There is a small cost to the Scottish SPCA when supporters use this service.

    The Scottish SPCA and RSPCA are different charities. The Scottish SPCA covers all of Scotland while the RSPCA only works in England and Wales.

    Why leave a gift in your Will

    Your legacy will continue rescuing animals

    We respond to calls from the public to rescue injured birds, small mammals and even seal pups. We couldn’t be there for these animals without the support provided by Gifts in Wills.

    Gifts in Wills helps fund over half of Scottish SPCA’s animal welfare work, ensuring thousands of animals receive care every year. They may be victims of cruelty or neglect, injured, abandoned, or left vulnerable in the wild. For the animals involved, being rescued from suffering is the first step towards recovery and a chance to heal.
    Animals who come into our care often need time, patience and specialist support to recover from trauma, neglect or injury. Every animal’s journey is different. Some stay for a short time, others for much longer. What matters is that each one is treated as an individual, given the chance to recover at their own pace and move on when they are ready. A gifts in your Will makes these second chances possible.
