Public appeal after Terrier found deceased in Aberdeen

The Scottish SPCA is appealing to the public for information after the body of a dog was discovered in the Seaton area of Aberdeen on Tuesday, 3 June.

A concerned member of the public contacted our animal helpline upon finding the deceased animal.

A Scottish SPCA inspector who attended the scene said: “We discovered the decomposed body of a small black and tan female terrier-type dog. She was found wearing a pink collar, but unfortunately, she is not microchipped.

“It appears the dog had been dead for some time, and at this stage, the circumstances surrounding her death are unknown.

“We are keen to understand what happened and would urge anyone with information to contact our confidential animal helpline on 03000 999 999.”

The Scottish SPCA is asking the local community to come forward with any details that may assist in identifying the dog or establishing how she came to be in this condition.
