What is the AJ Bell Great Scottish Run?
With a city centre start and finish, the AJ Bell Great Scottish Run is a celebration of everything that is great about Glasgow: inspiring urban architecture, green spaces, history, music, strength, spirit and, of course, great people, personality and humour.
Thousands take part in the half marathon or 10k running event each year and Scotland’s friendliest city always delivers on the support front too, with crowds of locals turning out each year to cheer and high-five from beginning to end. Plus, there are medals, finisher t-shirts and bragging rights for all!
Who can take part in the AJ Bell Great Scottish Run?
Entries are open to runners aged 15+ (10k) and 17+ (Half marathon) on the day of the event. For the wee ones there’s even a junior race, toddler dash and mini event on Saturday 3rd October.
How much do you need to fundraise?
Sign up today to raise vital funds for Scotland’s animals. We ask runners to pay a non-refundable deposit of £25 for the half marathon and £15 for the 10K per charity space. Non-charity spaces range from £40.40 to £46.40 via the Let’s Do This website with prices rising soon.
We’re asking participants to aim to raise a minimum of £300 in sponsorship for the half marathon and £150 for the 10K per entrant to help us be here for all animals, always.
All runners can claim their free Scottish SPCA running top on registration.
