Where you will be based Community

Why we want you

  • We need you to help our marketing and communications team build their imagery for vital fundraising and awareness campaigns.
  • You will also help the centre’s residents find their forever homes by taking their pictures for our website.
  • You may need to undertake other photography tasks to meet the needs of the Society.
  • You will always have the support of the marketing and communication team in carrying out your role.

What you will be doing

  • Taking pictures of animals ready for rehoming to go on our website.
  • Liaising with the marketing and communications team to take pictures for upcoming campaigns and fundraising.
  • Collecting information on, and taking pictures for, any newsworthy stories to feature animals in press, on social media or in fundraising materials.
  • Taking pictures of MSP/MP visits to centres.
  • Taking pictures of ambassador visits to centres.
  • Taking pictures of staff and volunteers.
  • You may be asked to take pictures for events at the centre or elsewhere.

The skills you need

  • Compassionate, patient and caring, with a strong interest in animal welfare.
  • Previous photography experience. It is desirable that you hold a degree or other formal qualification in photography or are working towards this.
  • Videography experience is desirable but not essential
