Why we want you
We need help to carefully transport domestic and small wild animals (contained) between our rescue centres, to our National Wildlife Centre and to vet appointments. We also require help to undertake general driving tasks such as collection of goods, donations, animal supplies etc. You will be trained to drive a Society Van and must have a full UK driving licence. We will require a DVLA Share Code as part of the application process. All fuel expenses will be reimbursed.
What you will be doing
- Uplift contained domestic/ small wild animals for transportation to/from our rescue centres, wildlife centres or to local veterinary clinics
- Transfer animals safely and securely
- Maintain relevant manual records accurately
- Undertake general driving tasks to assist with collection/ transportation of goods, donations, food supplies etc
- Undertake any other general admin duties as directed by the centre manager
The skills you need
- Practical experience of working with animals
- A strong interest in Scottish animal welfare
- Sound driving skills
- Flexible approach to carrying out duties within specified shifts
- Self-motivated and reliable
