Payroll Giving

Payroll giving is a fantastic way to support the Scottish SPCA and makes sure your money goes further. It’s a tax-efficient, hassle-free way to donate towards our work to educate children, prevent cruelty and rescue animals in need.

Over 1,400 people support us through payroll giving. You can join this growing army of animal champions who make payday special for thousands of animals in our care.

How does payroll giving work?

In a nutshell, payroll giving is when a company’s employees donate to charity directly from their pay, before tax is deducted. This means every £5 you donate will cost you just £4 – or even less if you are a higher rate tax payer. It’s the most efficient way to support us.

No bank details are needed. We'll use your employee or National Insurance number to set up your gift. You can cancel or change your gift anytime, putting you in control.

How do I set up payroll giving?

There’s plenty of payroll giving providers out there. Employers can set up a payroll giving scheme using one of these. If you are interested in signing up to payroll giving, speak to your payroll department for more information.
