May the fourth be with Princess and Luke in Lanarkshire

We are appealing to Stars Wars lovers to open their homes to two of the animals at our Lanarkshire Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre.

Gillian Boyle, centre manager, said: “Luke is an albino ferret who has been in our care for 172 days after being rescued from unsuitable living conditions.

“Although he can sometimes venture towards the dark side when being handled, he is slowly coming around to the attention and is doing well with his socialisation training. He also loves a snack and will jump out of his hammock when he hears a food packet opening.

“Princess is a five-year-old Staffy whose owner could no longer care for her and has been a resident here for 111 days. After previously looking for love in ‘Alderaan’ places, she is now ready to find her forever home.

“This fun-loving girl loves to zoom around and chase her toys. She knows basic commands and is great company when you ‘Sky-walk-her’ although any future owner will need to continue her training as she can sometimes forget her manners when she gets excited.

“Although Princess behaves well when meeting other dogs out on walks, we feel she would prefer to ‘Han-g Solo’ and be the only animal in the home.”

If you can offer Luke or Princess a place in your family, then you can apply to rehome them online.
