The Scottish SPCA is appealing for information after a puppy in very poor body condition was found straying near Natal Place in Cowdenbeath on 7 March.

Scottish SPCA inspector Nicola Liddell, said, “The dog was a male, tri-colour beagle cross Jack Russell terrier type pup. We estimate him to only be around five months old.

“He was found at approximately 8pm on the evening of Monday 7 March near Natal Place.

“He is in very poor body condition. His coat was very dirty with a strong, unpleasant aroma emanating from him even after he had been bathed.

“We’re keen to find out how the dog came to be in the area in such a bad state.

“If anyone recognises this puppy or has any information on this incident they can contact our confidential animal helpline on 03000 999 999.”
