We are appealing to animal lovers to donate food and enrichment items for the small animals in the care of our Lanarkshire Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre.

The centre is running low on essential items to help care for animals like Spot and Celia the rabbits. Items can be purchased from the centre’s Amazon wish list or via any other online retailer offering direct delivery to the centre.

Centre manager, Gillian Boyle, said, “We are in need of food and enrichment items for the rabbits and Guinea pigs in our care.

“Small animals have brains that require stimulation, and experiencing different toys and textures will help give them a great quality of life.

“We are also in need of Excel nuggets and hay.

“All these items will help keep small animals like Spot and Celia happy and healthy while they wait to find their forever homes.

“We are so thankful for your support so that we can continue to provide the best possible care for the animals at our centre.

“We’d be so grateful for any donations that people can spare and we know our small animals will be too.”

Food and enrichment items can be donated via the centre’s Amazon wish list here: https://amzn.to/33hPM57 or sent from another online retailer that can deliver. Items can also be left in the donation bins outside the centre at Scottish SPCA, Bothwell Rd, Hamilton ML3 0SB.
