6. What’s included in the adoption fee?

The adoption fee goes towards looking after the animal in our centres, including food and medical care.  The cost of having a dog or cat neutered, vaccinated, treated against fleas and worms and microchipped at a private vet can cost you more than £300.

In our care, every dog and cat will have been fully vet checked, neutered (subject to veterinary advice), treated against fleas and worms, microchipped, vaccinated and appointment arranged, or a voucher issued for a second vaccination.

All rabbits will be vaccinated for rabbit viral haemorrhagic disease (RVHD) and depending on how long they have been with us can also be vaccinated for Myxomatosis.

We also include free pet insurance for four weeks for cats, dogs and rabbits.

Small animals, birds, fish and exotics will be health checked by a trained member of staff and will have undergone any veterinary treatment required.
