Leia is a bouncy young girl looking for an experienced home where she can be the only pet to get all the fuss and attention.

She arrived in our care with her brother Anakin at a very young age. She has spent most of her young life in kennels so will need patient owners to help her find her paws in a home environment.

Whilst her and her brother were as thick as thieves, they started to get on each others nerves and Leia has a particularly rough play style. We have tried to introduce her to other dogs here at the centre, however she can be wary and reactive towards them. Her training in this area is going well but new owners must be confident and committed to continue her socialisation.

Due to her breed she will need an active home and she will need plenty of mental stimulation since she will be likely to become bored easily. She would also benefit from a home with plenty of outdoor space where she can continue her training safely.

Leia can have a sensitive streak when meeting unfamiliar people, so meets with potential adopters will be taken at her pace. Once she has built trust with her handlers she is a joy to work with as she is one clever cookie!

She will make an excellent addition to a home with people that enjoy training. Her nose is amazing and we think she would strive doing scent work if prospective owners are interested in progressing her training repertoire.
