Community Talks

From early years to the elderly, our education team spend lots of time in their local communities delivering our pioneering ‘Prevention through Education’ programme.

The Scottish SPCA has grown on the strength of its connection with the local communities where we rescue animals and prevent cruelty – and that’s why we love to spend so much time educating people in these areas on being responsible animal citizens.

Tailored interactive workshops

Depending on the needs of a community, our education team can tailor a workshop to make sure it’s a rich and rewarding experience for all involved.

Our educational sessions typically involve some interactive workshops where people will get to have some fun and come away having learned something new. Anyone who attends one of our community talks will come away with a great appreciation of our wide ranging work and a better understanding of animal welfare and sentience and the strength of the positive bond humans can build with all sorts of animals.
