Quiet home needed for overlooked shy cat

The Scottish SPCA is seeking a home for a cat in the care of its Angus, Fife and Tayside Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre.

We have been searching for a home for Nicholas for nearly 100 days, but unfortunately he hasn’t had much interest.

Centre assistant manager, Dale Christie, said, “We would love to find Nicholas a loving home.

“He has only had a few applications and these have been from people living in built up areas. We are unsure about Nicholas’ road sense, and for this reason he needs a home in a quiet or rural location where he can explore safely.

“Nicholas is a beautiful cat who can be quite shy to begin with.

“Once he learns to trust you he shows his true affectionate nature, and even enjoys a head scratch or two! He also loves his food, so this is definitely the way to his heart.

“He is often found waiting at his kennel door looking for attention and food.

“Nicholas originally came to us as a stray with quite matted fur. Any new owner will need to groom him regularly to keep his coat healthy.

“He would prefer a home without any other pets or young children.

“Anyone interested in giving Nicholas a loving home can apply on our website.”
