Rabbits found in Glasgow

The Scottish SPCA is appealing for information after two male rabbits were found in Cathkin Braes Country Park in Glasgow, on 8 October.

We were alerted to the incident after a member of the public found the rabbits beside a pile of cabbage at approximately 11am.

Scottish SPCA inspector, Dawn Murrie, said, “The rabbits are in good body condition but unfortunately aren’t microchipped.

“One is tan coloured with white and grey markings, and the other is white with brown markings.

“We are unsure how the pet rabbits ended up in the park, but it is unusual to have found them beside a pile of cabbage.

“We appreciate that the person who left the rabbits may have intended for the animals to be found but this is not the right way to give up an animal if you can no longer care for them.

“Thankfully, they are unharmed and are now safe at one of our animal rescue and rehoming centres.

“If anyone recognises these rabbits or has any information about this incident, we would ask that they contact our confidential animal helpline on 03000 999 999.”
