The Scottish SPCA is appealing for information after a brown and black rabbit was found abandoned on Quay Street in Dumbarton.
We were alerted to the incident after a member of the public discovered the rabbit in a Pets at Home box on 24 December.
Scottish SPCA centre assistant manager, Ally Bibby, said, “The rabbit is female and was found on Christmas Eve in a Pets at Home box.
“She is microchipped but unfortunately these details aren’t up to date.
“We understand that people’s circumstances can change, but this is not the right way to give up an animal if you can no longer care for them.
“If anyone recognises this rabbit, please contact our confidential animal helpline on 03000 999 999.”
