We recently rehabilitated and released five adult hedgehogs, after they all came in to our care separately for a range of reasons such as being out during day, being caught by a dog and getting trapped in netting.
They were rescued from the Aberdeen, Alloa, Forres and Elgin areas.
Once they had been given the TLC they needed, they had reached healthy weights and were ready to be released.
They had all recovered really well and quickly, so we were able to get them back in to the wild before the winter weather hits.
Hedgehogs will only hibernate depending on temperature so as long as the weather stays mild it is safe for them to be released.
