Willie Finlayson, co-founder of UK executive search business FWB Park Brown, has joined the Board of the Scottish SPCA.

He helped set up FWB Park Brown in 1993 and since then it has grown to become a market leader, acting for clients in a range of sectors across C-suite, Non-Executive and Chair appointments.

Outside of this, Willie was a Director and latterly Chair of Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC. During his tenure, the club enjoyed its most successful period in its history, winning the Scottish Cup and competing in Europe.

Willie said: “I am absolutely delighted to join the Board of the Scottish SPCA. I was looking for a charity with a real purpose and great people, and I know I’ve found that here. In recent years, I’ve been hugely impressed by its efforts to improve animal welfare across the country. Scotland would be a poorer place without this wonderful charity, and I can’t wait to get started.

“Most importantly, my three dogs are pretty impressed as well!”

Our Chair, Fiona MacLeod, said: “Willie’s appointment is a real coup for us. His experience will be invaluable to the Board as we help the incredible people who work here to navigate an immensely challenging period for animal welfare. This period is compounded by issues such as the cost-of-living crisis and rising vet bills, so the Scottish SPCA will rise to that challenge and do all they can for people, pets, wildlife and farmed animals across the nation.”
