We are appealing for information after an abandoned cat was discovered in Luss and handed in to our Dunbartonshire Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre.

The cat was handed in by a member of the public on 15 August after they discovered the cat dumped inside a carrier on the south entrance of Old Military Road, Luss.

Centre assistant manager, Ally Bibby, said, “The cat is a female, black and white cat.

“She was found in a blue and white carrier, which had a small label attached by string with ‘Snowball’ written on it.

“Unfortunately she is not microchipped.

“We appreciate that whoever left the cat may have intended for her to be found but this is not the correct way to give up a pet if you can no longer care for them.

“If anyone has any information about this incident, or recognises the cat, we would encourage them to call our confidential animal helpline on 03000 999 999.”
