Community Engagement

The Scottish SPCA is hosting a series of Community Engagement drop-in sessions across Scotland in March 2025.

Working together to support animals and people across Scotland

In March and April we are holding a series of public drop-in events across Scotland – come along to find out about our plans to do even more in 2025 and beyond to support animals and people in your local community.
Across Scotland, animals needs are becoming more complex, costs are rising and last year we saw a 24% increase in people contacting us about giving up their pet, in many cases because they simply could no longer cope.
In 2025 we are expanding our community support to help keep pets and people together, and ensure people across Scotland know the role they can play in helping wild animals thrive in their natural homes too. We recently relaunched our adoption and fostering service finding rescued animals their forever home more quickly than ever too.
Our drop-in sessions will be interactive with lots of time for you share your thoughts and ask questions, and help us as we shape the future of animal welfare in Scotland.
More events are being added here soon so check back here if you can’t see one in your area.

Why attend?

  • Learn about the Scottish SPCA’s new strategic direction and how we are evolving to support animals (and people) within communities.
  • Hear about current animal welfare challenges in Scotland.
  • Engage in discussions on how we can all work together to build a proactive and preventative approach to animal welfare.
