Animals Count: Make Them Matter
When you sign our petition, you take a stand to make animals matter in Scotland. Too often, their welfare is overlooked in policy and law. The Scottish SPCA manifesto calls for urgent, evidence-based reforms in the next Parliament to ensure animals are protected, respected, and never treated as an afterthought.
This demands stronger laws, proper enforcement, and real political commitment. It calls on a nation proud to stand together for change.
Add your voice today to help build a Scotland where every animal is safe, valued, and able to thrive, and help make our country the best place in the world for an animal to call home.

The Scottish SPCA has been preventing cruelty to animals for over 185 years.
We have been at the forefront of campaigning in the Scottish Parliament since devolution, consistently pushing for stronger protections and enforcement for animals in law.
We are the only animal welfare organisation in Great Britain with statutory powers to investigate animal welfare offences, allowing inspectors to act directly on cruelty and neglect cases and bring offenders to justice.

We receive no government funding and every £1 matters to Scotland’s animals and the work we do to influence change.
