We’re delighted to announce that Kate Allum will join the Scottish SPCA as our new Chair from the end of March.
Kate brings almost 30 years of Board-level experience across a wide range of sectors. She currently serves on the boards of The Co-op and Business Stream and, until very recently, the University of the West of Scotland, where she was Chair of the Court. She has extensive governance expertise, including chairing Board Committees and serving on Audit and ESG Committees, alongside previous Chief Executive roles at CeDo and First Milk.
Kate is passionate about environmental and social sustainability and animal welfare, and her experience will be a significant asset to our Board and Executive team as we continue to make Scotland the best place in the world for an animal to call home.
We would also like to extend a huge thank you to Fiona MacLeod who will step down after four years of dedicated leadership as Chair. She has guided the Society with passion, wisdom and an unwavering commitment, always focused on our mission to protect Scotland’s animals.
