Leaving a Gift in Your Will

By leaving a gift in your Will to the Scottish SPCA, you can continue protecting animals long into the future — at no cost today.

  • Simple explanations — no legal jargon
  • Example wording for your solicitor
  • Guidance on different types of giving

Gifts left in Wills makes up around 50% of our income

This income supports animals every day.  Your gift rescues and rehabilitates injured and orphaned wildlife. Keeps animals in our centres warm and fed. And ensures they receive the care they need, when they need it most.

The Scottish SPCA and RSPCA are different charities. The Scottish SPCA operates across Scotland, while the RSPCA operates in England and Wales.

If you would like to leave a gift in your Will to the Scottish SPCA you must include our registered charity number SC006467 and our office address: Scottish SPCA, Kingseat Road, Dunfermline, KY11 8RY.

Your legacy will continue rescuing animals

“We respond to calls from the public to rescue injured birds, small mammals and even seal pups. We couldn’t be there for these animals without the support provided by Gifts in Wills.”

L. McIntyre, Head of Rescue and Prevention

Gifts in Wills helps fund over half of Scottish SPCA’s animal welfare work, ensuring thousands of animals receive care every year. They may be victims of cruelty or neglect, injured, abandoned, or left vulnerable in the wild. For the animals involved, being rescued from suffering is the first step towards recovery and a chance to heal.
Animals who come into our care often need time, patience and specialist support to recover from trauma, neglect or injury. Every animal’s journey is different. Some stay for a short time, others for much longer. What matters is that each one is treated as an individual, given the chance to recover at their own pace and move on when they are ready. A gifts in your Will makes these second chances possible.

Free Will writing service

You can take advantage of a free Will writing service through our partnership with the National Free Wills Network. This service is available to anyone aged 18 or over who wishes to make a simple Will.

A simple Will is one that does not involve complex circumstances. A participating solicitor will be able to advise whether this option is suitable for you.
