Scottish SPCA appeal for blankets at both Glasgow and Lanarkshire rescue centres

The Scottish SPCA has issued an appeal to animal lovers to donate blankets to their Glasgow and Lanarkshire Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centres.

The animal welfare charity has issued an appeal to the public to donate blankets to its Glasgow and Lanarkshire centres amid a shortage.

Manager of the Glasgow centre, Carrie Giannelli, said: “Both our Glasgow centre and Lanarkshire centre are running low on blankets for our animals so we’re appealing to the public to kindly donate what they can.

“It’s still cold out there want to make sure the furry and non-furry residents in our care are as snug as possible.”

Blankets can be dropped into the Glasgow centre reception daily between 11am and 4pm at the Scottish SPCA Rescue and Rehoming Centre, 125 Kinnell Place, Cardonald, Glasgow, G52 3RY.

They can be dropped off at the Lanarkshire centre reception daily between 11am and 4pm at the Scottish SPCA Lanarkshire Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre on Bothwell Road, Hamilton, ML3 0SB. Items can also be purchased from the centre’s Amazon wish list here or via any other online retailer offering direct delivery to the centre.
