The Scottish SPCA is appealing for information after a dog was found abandoned in a field in the village of Crawford, South Lanarkshire.
The lurcher type dog was discovered by a member of the public, on top of a duvet in a field, on Saturday 14 February.

A call was made to the Scottish SPCA Animal Helpline, with the caller expressing concern for the animal. An Animal Rescue Officer attended and took the dog to a veterinary surgeon after discovering that she had a severe limp. She received pain relief and is now at the Scottish SPCA’s Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre in Glasgow, Cardonald where she will receive ongoing veterinary treatment and care. The dog is microchipped however is not registered.
