Staff at the Scottish SPCA’s Lanarkshire rescue centre handed out a present to each animal and let the dogs pick their own toy on Christmas Day.
The Scottish SPCA’s Lanarkshire Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre in Hamilton got to work on Christmas Day and Boxing Day – handing out a present to each animal in its care.
Staff at the centre ensured that no animal was left out over the festive period and wrapped up presents for the animals, as well as letting the dogs pick out their own toy. Each animal also got a Christmas dinner.
This was made possible as a result of public donations, which the staff then wrapped up and presented to the furry residents.

Stacie Kemp, Senior Animal Care Assistant at the Lanarkshire centre, said: “Thanks to all the generous donations from the public, the staff were able to spoil all the animals with new toys and extra treats along with their Christmas dinner.
“From all the staff and animals at Lanarkshire, we thank you all for the continued support we receive. Hope you enjoy the pictures of the animals receiving the gifts on Christmas Day.”

Elsewhere, staff at the Aberdeenshire centre also got busy making each animal a Christmas meal and then took the dogs out for a group walk on Boxing Day.
