We need your help to keep our grounds and outbuildings looking good all year round. If you enjoy gardening and practical outdoor work, we would love to hear from you.
Please note: This role involves working with hand tools only. Our volunteers are not permitted to work with powered equipment for health & safety reasons.
How much time do you need to be able to give?

What will you be doing?
- Planting and tending flower beds/tubs
- Weeding & pruning
- Assisting with vegetable beds
- Painting e.g fences and outbuildings
- General joinery and repair work to keep outbuildings in good condition
- General ‘yard work’ duties such as keeping entrance areas clean and tidy, moss removal
What skills do you need?
- Practical gardening experience
- Knowledge of how to maintain hand tools (training will be provided)
- Practical DIY/ joinery experience e.g making minor repairs to doors, locks, fences etc
- A reasonable level of general fitness as you will be working outdoors and undertaking work that involves bending and stretching
- Willing to take instruction and to correctly use all necessary PPE as instructed
- Self-motivated and reliable

You will not be permitted to work at heights or from ladders. You will not be permitted to use power tools (gardening or DIY)
