Cleaning and Laundry

Can you spare a few hours a week to be part of our Centre team as a volunteer helping with cleaning and laundry?

Why we need you

As you can imagine, looking after the animals in our busy centre generates a lot of of cleaning and laundry and we need your help to keep on top of it. Can  you spare a few hours a week to be part of the team?

How much time do you need to be able to give?

A minimum of 8 hours per month – for example two half days per month.

What will you be doing?

  • Collect Laundry from Centre blocks/sections
  • Sorting and washing/ drying laundry
  • Store clean laundry appropriately
  • Clean, maintain and record daily washer/dryer filter tasks
  • Supply blocks/ sections with clean laundry supplies, as needed
  • Cleaning of corridors, floors, door handles and other work surfaces

What skills do you need?

  • Practical experience of cleaning and laundry duties
  • Reliable and willing to take instruction
  • Flexible in approach to duties
