Adoption and Fostering Support

We need help to transport domestic animals to their foster home or when they are have been adopted.

Why we need you

We need help to transport domestic animals who are being fostered or adopted. This involves transporting animals to and from our centres, foster homes, vet practices or taking them to their new forever homes.

We may also need help with organising and delivering supplies to foster homes to ensure animals have everything they need whilst being looked after.

How much time do you need to be able to give?

Flexible to work around the Adoption and Fostering team’s needs & your availability.

What you will be doing

  • Transport domestic animals to/from Dunbartonshire, Lanarkshire and Glasgow centres
  • Transport animals safely and securely to foster homes, vet practices or new homes
  • Handling animals safely and with care
  • Collect, organise and transport supplies to foster homes
  • Maintain relevant manual records accurately
  • Undertake general admin tasks as required

The skills you need

  • Practical experience of working with animals
  • A strong interest in animal welfare
  • Sound driving skills
  • A flexible approach to carrying out duties within specified shifts
  • Self motivated and reliable
