Education Talks

Learn about animal welfare with the Scottish SPCA.

Who are Education Talks for?

The Scottish SPCA has been at the forefront of improving animal welfare since our humble beginnings in 1839. We have hosted internationally-lauded conferences, conducted trailblazing research and our Special Investigations Unit is a world-leader in the fight to tackle serious animal-related crimes, continually going above and beyond to ensure justice is served through unparalleled case work.

Our Education Talks cater to groups of all ages and needs, from early years to the elderly, there’s no wrong time to learn something new about animal welfare. We have developed research-based talks for different age groups that are engaging and rewarding to meet your group’s needs.

Education Talks for Local Groups

Whether you belong to a local community group, Rotary Club, Scottish Women’s Institute, or any other Club or Society, we can tailor your talk depending on your needs and the size of your group.

To find out more about booking a talk for your group, please visit the Contact Us [link] page and select ‘Education’ from the drop down to contact a member of our team to discuss your individual requirements.

Education Talks in Schools and Youth Groups

Our team will visit any school in Scotland to talk to pupils and teachers about animal welfare in Scotland.

For your talk, the booking fees are as follows:

Assembly £100
Classroom £50

We understand school budgets are stretched, and we would be delighted to help you with simple fundraising ideas to help you cover the cost of the visit and to support our vital work.

We very much look forward to working with schools such as yours to continue educating Scotland’s children on important animal welfare issues, whilst helping us to reach our goal of making Scotland the best place for an animal to call home.

Please visit the Contact Us page and select ‘Education’ from the drop down to arrange a talk at your school.
