Forever home needed for loving pair of dogs

The Scottish SPCA is looking to give Staffy crosses Pablo and Keela a loving new home after being in their care since Christmas Eve 2021.

This loveable pair are currently in the care of our Caithness centre and, after a horrific start to their life, the charity would love to finally find them the happy ending they deserve.

Centre manager, Christine Urquhart, said, “We just can’t understand why Pablo and Keela have been with us so long, they really are the sweetest dogs!

“They adore each other and we have even tried putting them up for adoption separately but they still continue to be overlooked.

“They came into our care after their previous owner claimed they were aggressive and took them to the vets to be put to sleep.

“However, when they arrived at the veterinary surgery they weren’t showing any signs of aggression. The vets removed their muzzles and found the pair were actually incredibly friendly.

“They were signed over into our care and our experienced team also thoroughly assessed them and found no signs of aggressive behaviour.

“We have been trying to find them a home – together or apart – ever since with no luck.

“Pablo is five years old and Keela is six, and both would love an active forever family to go on lots of adventures with.

“They would be best suited to an adult-only family who have experience with positive reinforcement training and socialisation to help them become the best doggy citizens they can be.

“Even though Pablo is a big lad he is a complete sook…when he is laying in your lap he likes to go in for a slobbery kiss!

Keela is a gorgeous dog who loves nothing more than playing with her favourite toys.

“You really would be getting an amazing pair of canine companions by taking a chance on this duo.”
