Loving lurcher seeks forever home after 1,300 days

David is a delightful lurcher cross who has been in our care for more than 1,300 days.

David is between six and nine years old and, although he would love a new family to call his own, he has sadly been continuously overlooked.

Irene Mineo, senior animal care assistant, said: “Despite having a difficult start in life, David is an easy-going boy with a wonderful smile. He is very playful and would happily spend all day in the garden with his toys if he could.

“David does have a high prey drive so needs to stay on a lead but he is very well-mannered and walks nicely by your side. He loves long walks and is fantastic company.

“Although we feel he would be best suited to a home where he is the only animal, he does enjoy bumping into other dogs when out and about, especially if their temperament is calm like his.

“David will need a new family who have experience of sight hound breeds or have done their research into their prey drive and are confident they can help him be a model canine citizen.

“After spending so long in our care, we would love for David to find his happy ever after.”

If you think you can offer this loving boy a home, then please apply online.
