We are appealing to dog lovers to donate specialised food for dogs in the care of our Dunbartonshire centre.

The centre is currently caring for 39 dogs and is running low on essential food for those with special dietary requirements. Items can be purchased from the centre’s Amazon wish list or via any other online retailer offering direct delivery to the centre. Donations can also be handed into the centre reception between 1pm and 4pm daily.

Centre manager, Judy Button, said, “We are in desperate need of sensitive dry food for the dogs in our care.

“Kennels can be a very stressful environment for the dogs which can lead to a lot of tummy upsets. Some breeds are more prone to becoming stressed and feeding them a sensitive or higher quality food can help alleviate these issues.

“We are in need of sensitive dry dog food such as Arden, Burns and Barking Heads.

“This food helps keep dogs like Zuko happy and healthy while they wait to find their forever homes.

“We’d be so grateful for any donations that people can spare and we know Zuko and his canine friends will be too.”

Dog food can be donated via the centre’s Amazon wish list here: https://amzn.to/3BKe5cE or sent from another online retailer that can deliver. Items can also be handed into the centre reception at Scottish SPCA, Dumbarton Road, Milton, G82 2UA.
