Did you know we treated a record number of seals at our National Wildlife Rescue Centre in 2018? 188 seals, many of which were pups who were too weak to survive at sea when they arrived at the centre, received care. Seals can spend many months with us until they are fit enough to go back to sea and the average cost of care per seal from admission to release is £500.

Why sponsor a seal pen?

If you sponsor a seal pen at our National Wildlife Rescue Centre, you’ll be helping seals in urgent need of medical treatment and care. By sponsoring a pen, you’ll play an important part in their care until they regain the strength to go back in to the wild.

Thanks to your support, seals which spend time in the pen you sponsor will enjoy a healthy diet, excellent care and access to veterinary treatment until they can be released.

What do you get if you sponsor a seal pen?

You’ll get a special thank-you letter for sponsoring a seal pen and a story about one of the animals we’ve been able to support thanks to you. Halfway through your year-long sponsorship, we’ll send you another update. We’ll also send you a copy of our twice-yearly magazine, where you will be able to read up on exclusive news and features about our work saving animals across Scotland.

How much does it cost to sponsor a seal pen?

It costs £100 to sponsor a seal pen for a year. You can also sponsor a unit as a gift for a friend or family member who loves seals.

If you choose to do this, we can send a special gift card to the lucky person alongside the gift pack.
