Did you know many retailers donate the proceeds from sales of 5p carrier bags to a charity of their choice? In fact, more than £50m per year is usually raised for good causes across the UK from sales – which would be enough to care for rescue animals in Scotland for over three years! A small fraction of that total could still make a massive difference to the Scottish SPCA.
