Tony's Tale

Tony the dog

Poor Tony the westie was found in a field in North Lanarkshire in a terrible state.

His coat was heavily matted which would have been extremely uncomfortable and he was very scared.

Inspector Sam McDonald said, "Unfortunately we never found out how Tony came to be alone in the field in such an awful condition.

"We can't begin to imagine the suffering he had endured but thankfully his traumatic past didn't affect his loving personality.

"After a vet had removed all of Tony's matted fur, he looked like a completely different dog.

"This brave little guy certainly captured the hearts of many during his stay at our rescue and rehoming centre.

"Just a few weeks after Tony was rescued he was ready to start the next chapter of his life with his new family, who we know will love and look after him."
