Abi is a lovely, affectionate girl looking for a forever home where she can cuddle up on the sofa with her family.
Like most lurchers she has short bursts when she's full of energy that she need to work off, then she's happy to chill out with some company.
She does have a high prey drive so would not be suitable to live with cats or small animals, she is comfortable wearing a muzzle when out on a walk.
Abi is currently undergoing training to socialise her with other dogs. She is doing exceptionally well and is particularly fond of one of our big male dogs. Any new owner would need to be happy to continue this training and be understanding that Abi might take a few steps backwards with dogs before gaining her confidence again.
We feel that she has done so well she could potentially share her home with another dog, a dog that is well socialised with other dogs, who can teach Abi to feel more comfortable.
An experienced adult only home would suit her best, with another dog that she can play with and offer lots of kisses, whether the other dog likes it or not!
Abi is looking for a home with a garden, and sadly would not suit a flat environment.
Can you offer this cracking girl her forever home?
