Colleges and universities

You’re never too old to learn something new, and our animal welfare educational talks for college and university students are sure to get tails wagging.

Whilst we have strong links with some of Scotland’s universities through our pioneering research, we are also spending time face-to-face with students across the country to deliver our workshops. With a focus on potential careers with the Scottish SPCA, these sessions take students across some of our real-life cases to stimulate discussion about animal welfare and the way the Scottish SPCA works with people and animals to address welfare worries.

Workshops with animal-focussed groups

We often get asked to visit veterinary schools or people who’ve undertaken studies related to the world of animal welfare. Our fantastic education team make sure all of these workshops are bespoke, delivering an informative session specifically tailored to the requirements of the people in the room.

Not only that, the Society is working ever more closely with further education for the mutual benefit of both upcoming students and the thousands of animals we help every year. We’re working with several students to carry out research that has the potential to shake-up the animal welfare world.
