We were delighted to have new field shelters built at our centre in Aberdeenshire just in time for storm Emma hitting Scotland.
We were able to build these shelters for the horses in their care after being awarded £4,000 from the Tesco Bags of Help Scheme.
Aberdeenshire centre manager Graeme Innes said, “Throughout November and December local Tesco shoppers voted to fund the purchase and building of field shelters at our centre. We’d like to thank Tesco and each one of their customers who voted for us.
"These shelters were built just in time for the extreme weather we've been having and have really helped out the horses currently being cared for at our centre during this cold snap.
“We don’t receive any government or lottery funding which means we rely on the public to be able to continue our work rescuing and rehoming animals in desperate need of our help.”
