Scottish SPCA seek homes for overlooked budgies in Dundee area

The Scottish SPCA is seeking homes for the budgies they have in the care of their Angus, Fife and Tayside Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre.

We are currently caring for a number of the colourful birds after they were brought to the centre.

Elliot Hay, manager of the centre said, “We are currently caring for ten budgies.

“We’ve had no interest in them so we’re really keen to find them homes.

“They are striking to look at, with a mix of greys and greens.  There are seven males and three females.

“The birds came to us as they could no longer be cared for by their owners.

“We would be happy for them to be rehomed in groups, pairs, or individually so long as they get plenty of socialisation.

“The group could go to an outdoor aviary where they have room to stretch their wings with other feathered friends or a large indoor cage filled with enrichment to keep them both physically and mentally stimulated.

“They are lovely birds, quite content to sing the day away.”

Anyone who can offer the budgies a home should contact our Angus, Fife and Tayside centre on 03000 999 999.
