Scottish SPCA looking to reunite cat with owners after being found in freezing temperatures

The Scottish SPCA is hoping to reunite a young male cat with his owner after he was found outside in the freezing temperatures in Meadowhead Road in Wishaw this morning

aspenWe were alerted after the unneutered feline was spotted ina garden. He was unable to jump the fence and the callers were concerned about him being out in the heavy snow.

Animal rescue officer Dawn Lowdon said, We're sure someone must be missing this wee guy. He stopped crying as soon as I brought him into my van and got the heaters on so I don't think he's used to being outside.
He's currently being cared for by the team at our centre in Lanarkshire where he has been named Aspen.

"If we can't find his owner then Aspen will stay in our care until we can find a suitable new home for him."

Anyone with information is being urged to contact the Scottish SPCA animal helpline on 03000 999 999.
