Scottish SPCA centre appealing for snoods and anti-anxiety shirts

The Scottish SPCA is appealing to animal lovers in Lanarkshire to donate snoods and anti-anxiety shirts for dogs in their Lanarkshire Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre.

LylaWe are currently caring for many dogs who have been rescued or born in our care.

Centre Manager Peter Fleming said, “Snoods might seem like an odd request for canines but we find they really help when a dog has to wear a buster collar for a long period of time. They give the dogs neck some padding which prevents the collar rubbing at their skin.

“A few of the dogs in our care also suffer from kennel stress and we find anti-anxiety shirts really help. These shirts help calm the dogs in their kennel which in turn makes them happier dogs outside of their kennel.

“We hope kind-hearted locals will get behind our appeal as it would make lots of dogs very happy.

“If anyone wants to donate to our centre they can do so by dropping by anytime between 10am and 4pm Wednesday to Monday.”

Donations can be donated via the centre's Amazon wish list or handed into the centre in Bothwell Road, Hamilton ML3 0SB.
