Mossy the snake looking for home after being overlooked for 573 days

The Scottish SPCA is seeking a new home for Mossy the snake who has been in the care of their centre in Lanarkshire for 573 days.

MossyWe are desperate to find a home for Mossy, the cornsnake, who has been waiting very patiently for his loving new forever home.

Scottish SPCA Lanarkshire Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre Manager Peter Fleming said, “Mossy loves to snooze under his little house or the newspaper in his vivarium. When he's awake he is a very inquisitive guy and his new owner will need to continuen with daily handling to help build his confidence.

"Mossy has been sadly overlooked for over 573 days in total and we're positive the right owner is out there.

“Though they don't play fetch or come when you call their name, snakes are great pets for any reptile lover.

“If anyone would like to meet Mossy or one of the other snakes in our care they should pop along to the centre any day (closed Tuesday) 10am to 4pm.”

Anyone who can offer Mossy a suitable new home is being asked to contact our centre in Lanarkshire on 03000 999 999.
