Glasgow’s animals need blankets

The Scottish SPCA is appealing to animal lovers in Glasgow to donate blankets for animals in their Glasgow Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre.

blanket appealWe are caring for many animals who have been rescued or born in our care.

Our centre in Glasgow has already rehomed over 880 animals this year.

Centre Manager Anna O’Donnell said, “We’re struggling to keep up with the demand for blankets at the moment.

“We ask that people do not donate any old duvets or pillows they may have as we find our animals can easily tear these apart.

“We hope kind-hearted locals will get behind our appeal as it would make lots of animals very happy.

“If anyone wants to donate to our centre they can do so by dropping by anytime between 10am and 4pm Wednesday to Monday.”

Blankets can be handed into the centre which is located at 125 Kinnell Avenue, Cardonald, Glasgow G52 3RY.
