Help care for animals, raise funds and lots more!
Volunteers needed for Christmas collection
The Scottish SPCA is appealing to kind hearted people in Glasgow to help at the Society’s Christmas street collection on Buchanan Street on Friday 9 December 2016.
Scotland’s animal welfare charity will be raising vital funds for abused, abandoned and injured animals in Glasgow and the surrounding area.
Regular volunteer, John Murasev, said,“I enjoy raising money to help abused and injured animals in Scotland.“It's a great way to chat to people in my local area and you'll be surprised at how generous people are!"

Volunteers will be joined by the charity’s fundraising team in a gazebo at the Donald Dewar statue and there will be an opportunity to star as one of the charity mascots! Volunteers will also be joined by furry friends from the Society’s Glasgow’s animal rescue and rehoming centre looking for a new home.
Glasgow centre manager, Anna O’Donnell, said, "Even if someone can only spare an hour or two to shake a collection tin, their time and efforts would be hugely appreciated.
“The Scottish SPCA receives no government or lottery funding and we rely on the kindness and generosity of the public to continue our work. We would be extremely grateful if anyone would like to donate their time and help us raise vital funds.”
