You can help save abused, abandoned and injured animals in Scotland by making a monthly donation to the Scottish SPCA
The Scottish SPCA is appealing to kind hearted people in Aberdeen to help at the Society’s Christmas street collection
We will be raising vital funds in Aberdeen City Centre on Thursday 15 December 2016 for abused, abandoned and injured animals in the Aberdeenshire area.
Regular volunteer, John Murasev, said, “I enjoy raising money to help abused and injured animals in Scotland.
“It's a great way to chat to people in my local area and you'll be surprised at how generous people are!"
Volunteers will be joined by the our fundraising team and there will be an opportunity to star as one of our mascots! Volunteers will also be joined by furry friends from the Society’s Aberdeenshire animal rescue and rehoming centre looking for a new home.
Aberdeenshire centre manager, Graeme Innes, said, “Even if someone can only spare an hour or two to shake a collection tin, their time and efforts would be hugely appreciated.
“The Scottish SPCA receives no government or lottery funding and we rely on the kindness and generosity of the public to continue our work. We would be extremely grateful if anyone would like to donate their time and help us raise vital funds.”
