Scottish SPCA seeks home for overlooked lurcher Ruby

The Scottish SPCA is seeking a home for an overlooked lurcher called Ruby who is in the care of their Ayrshire Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre.

We are hoping to find a loving owner who can offer Ruby the home she deserves.

Marion Hainey, manager of the centre said, “Ruby is a loving girl and just wants to please everyone.

“As she’s aged between two and three, she can get quite excited so further training may be needed.

“Ruby enjoys being with other dogs so she could be rehomed with another canine. She can get a bit overenthusiastic so she wouldn’t suit being rehomed with an older or timid dog.

“A home with a young, like-minded canine chum would be ideal for her. This would depend on successful meetings at the centre.

“As she is a lurcher, she will need to be kept on a lead and go to a home with no small animals. A home with older children, if any, would be best.

“She would love a home with a secure garden where she can have off-lead exercise in a safe, secure area.

“Ruby is a loving girl who just needs her perfect person to come along. She has a heart of gold and is desperate to give it away to someone special.”

Anyone who is interested in meeting Ruby or finding out more should contact our centre in Ayrshire on 03000 999 999.
