Scottish SPCA desperately seeking home for overlooked senior Tara

The Scottish SPCA is seeking a home for senior girl Tara who has been overlooked for the past 126 days.

Tara the staffie

We are caring for the Staffordshire bull terrier at our Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre in Lanarkshire.

Peter Fleming, manager of the centre said, “Tara is a nine year old staffie who has been with us for over four months.

“She finds the kennel environment quite stressful so we are desperate to find her forever home.

“Despite being an older girl, she is full of energy and loves to be out walking and running around.

“Tara has urinary issues so will need her diet to reflect this. Our vet is happy to advise and answer any questions potential owners may have.

“She would love an active home where she can be exercised regularly. Jogging with her owner or Canicross could be an option to keep her physically and mentally stimulated.

“She would suit an adult only home and as she has been unsure of other dogs in the past, we feel she would fit into a household where she can be the only pet.

“Tara has a huge heart and with the right owner, we are sure she will be a loving addition to a home.”

Anyone who can offer this girl a home should contact our centre in Lanarkshire on 03000 999 999.
