The Scottish SPCA has announced The Great Scottish Pub Quiz aimed at pubs and people across the country to help raise funds for Scotland’s animals.

We are looking for individuals and establishments to take part by hosting their own pub quiz in February 2020.

Animal rescue and rehoming superintendent Sharon Comrie said, “The Great Scottish Pub Quiz is designed to be a fun, sociable event involving pubs spanning the length and breadth of the country.

“We want to bring together animal lovers who like to flex their brain muscles.

“Quiz novices are welcome, as are those who regularly frequent a quiz night.

“The questions won’t all be about animals, there will be multiple rounds and topics to put brain powers to the test.

“Individuals, over the age of 18, and pubs can sign up and we will provide the necessary materials.

“It’s also an opportunity for pubs to encourage customers through their doors and boost sales at what can be a quieter time of year and generate some friendly competition in the process.

“Our suggested entry fee is £5 per team. The funds raised will allow us to raise the £56,000 we need every day to continue to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome animals across Scotland.”
